Nothing terrifies Samantha Powell more than starting over, but after devoting three decades to a troubled man and an unhappy marriage, Sam finds the courage to seek her own happiness. She imagines a nice quiet life filled with friends, family, and a career that leaves no room for relationship drama. Unfortunately, no one told the alluring Grayson Kinkaide.
After escaping a bad marriage of his own, Grayson realizes his soul mate is still out there and his heart is set on Sam. Their instant attraction begins a steamy affair, but the women of Grayson’s past aren’t ready to let him go. Can Grayson convince Sam that she is the only one for him?
“Designing Samantha’s Love” is a steamy romance that contains sexual content.
Once again, J.C. Valentine doesn’t disappoint.
This is a continuation of Felix and Poppy’s story from “Stranded.” Let me just say, I love Felix. He just “does it” for me.
Things are going pretty well for Felix and Poppy. They share a condo and home together and even work together. But when Felix cannot account to Poppy for some time when they aren’t together and the only answer he has is he’s working on “business stuff,” she begins to suspect he’s cheating on her. And, it DOES look pretty suspicious. After all, he did promise to tell her the truth in exchange for her trust.
Is Poppy going to have her heart broken again? Will Felix be able to account for his time away from Poppy?
You MUST read this book. I can’t recommend it enough. I really hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
“Never be afraid of a scar. It simply means you were stronger than whatever tried to hurt you.” ~Unknown
I loved this book. The main characters, Jon and Patti, have “baggage” from their past that continue to haunt them as they try to run from their troubles. Well, that’s all about to change. They’re going to have to face their past if they want to continue to move on with each other.
The story starts right out with Patti finding her boyfriend (Kyle) in their bed with another woman. There are some pretty funny references to his cheating and anatomy here that had me cracking up.
Jon has a secret in his past that prevents him from accepting happiness in his life, so he copes by having one-night stands, thereby keeping himself from committed relationships. Until he meets Patti. There’s just something about her.
Things get steamy and Jon soon realizes how much happiness Patti has brought to his life. Then a secret from Jon’s past is revealed and he doesn’t think Patti could accept him for who he is now. He is no longer the young and reckless man he was in his youth, but he pushes away because his guilt continues to haunt and punish him.
The relationship between Jon and his family is especially sweet. I loved them.
Great character development in this story and I was rooting for them to work things out.
Lots of humor, as well as tearful emotion, felt throughout. I found myself close to tears at several points and really felt a connection to these two.
I hope you’ll enjoy this book as much as I did.
Well, let me just tell you, I loved this book!
The one-night stand that Piper Donavan and Tate Larsen had in the ladies bathroom of a bar seemed a bit far-fetched at first, but the more I thought about it, I think these things happen more times than not. In any event, I wouldn’t do that in reality, but it sure was a sensual and daring read. I’m not gonna lie–it was very hot.
He doesn’t kiss his one-nightstands because it makes it too personal; however, this night he and Piper share a kiss, and now she’s under his skin and he can’t get her out of his mind.
Piper is starting a new job, and little did she know, her one-night-stand would be her new boss. He’s arrogant, short-tempered, and a complete ass. How is this ever going to work out? Especially since he fires her the first day on the job when he realizes who his new assistant is.
It’s a push and pull relationship for them both and watching the two of them come together and fight the odds is incredibly sexy and heartwarming.
I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. (:
I couldn’t stop reading “Stranded” once I started. This was a very good book.
Felix Sinclair and Poppy Montgomery find themselves more satisfied in a one-night stand than they had ever found in their previous marriages. The night they spend together is hot and steamy and leaves you wanting more.
This is a quick read and I enjoyed this very much. The story moves fast and keeps your attention.
Would love to know more about Felix and Poppy. Maybe more later?
When Askelon of Meridian, lord of dreams, and Jihan, Froth Daughter, come to Sanctuary, a killing mist precedes them and everything changes for Tempus and the Sacred Band of Stepsons and even the local storm god. In the courese of this story, Nikodemos receives from Askelon a dream-forged panoply; Tempus’ sister and Askelon of Meridian join forces, and the Froth Daughter lends her inhuman aid to Tempus’ Sacred Band. Stepsons die and events are set in motion that reverberate through the entire Sacred Band series as even the gods contest in Sanctuary’s heavens.
Wizard Weather, a pivotal story in the Sacred Band of Stepsons series. First published as a first serial in Thieves’ World in 1982, and subsequently in “Tempus,” the first Sacred Band of Stepsons anthology in 1987, Wizard Weather introduces characters and concepts which since have become iconic: Stealth called Nikodemos, charismatic Bandaran adept of maat; Jihan, Froth Daughter; Janni, Straton and Critias, members of the Sacred Band of Stepons; Stormbringer, the Unbegotten god, and a fight between good and evil that transcends time and place.

The novella When Things Go Wrong sets up the relationship between the leading players in Cheaters Anonymous. Even though this book can be read as a standalone novel, I think it best to read the novella first.
Cheaters Anonymous picks up several years following their unforgettable weekend together. Jules is now an emergency room doctor and Scar is a successful businessman. Their reunion takes place in the ER when she’s on duty and he is admitted with an interesting condition.
Follow along as we revisit their youth (through flashbacks) to see how they (Jules and Scar) met and became the best of friends. This book has a mystery stalker and lots of very heated sexually-charged moments you won’t soon forget.
I enjoyed this book very much. Lacey is a favorite of mine and I’m sure you’ll like this book as much as I did.
I highly recommend this book for those over 18.
I’d like to share a great review for a great book. Please feel free to share it as well.
I’m intrigued. I’ll be putting this on my To Read list.
WARNING: Dance for Me is the first book in a trilogy and ends with a cliffhanger. Due to mature material, it is recommended for ages 17+.
What if the person who stole your heart wasn’t who you thought they were?
When my parents passed away, I grew up fast. Learning to stand on my own two feet has been a challenge, but I’m making it… my way. I make no apologies for the path I’ve chosen. My choices have served me well, but no one knows the real me.
Except one man.
He’s a mystery to me. He’s controlling, demanding, and he has me wrapped around his little finger. Anything he wants, I’ll give it to him. The hours we share together aren’t about love. It’s just sex. Hot, dirty, passionate sex. It was never supposed to be anything more than that.
Until everything changed.
Now, I’m more confused than ever. The more I learn about him, the less I seem to understand. What I do know is that I’m falling, and I have the feeling when I land, it’s going to hurt.
